Not-Quite-Beginners Drum Workshop @ DIY Space for London Aug 9th, 2016 at DIY Space for London, London

After the HUGE demand for drum workshops at the First Timers festival earlier in the year, Jaca Freer will be returning to DIY Space for London over the summer to give more affordable drum workshops to all you budding drummers just waiting for a chance to jump behind the kit!

This 2 hour workshop is aimed at drummers who've been playing a few months already, have got the basics down, and want some extra tips/exercises/inspiration to keep going! Tuesday 9th August at DIY Space for London from 7-9pm!

The workshop will be covering:-

- Useful warm-ups and techniques including: Double strokes, Paradiddles and Triplets
- Practicing tips to help you get the most out of your time at the kit!
- Developing grooves using semi-quaver variations
- How to work out the drum parts to your favourite songs

Open to anyone who's interested in picking up the sticks!*

This is your year to become the #summerdrummer you always wanted to be!

Tiered ticketing prices allow Freer Ideas to keep running these workshops whilst remaining affordable to those with low incomes. Please give what you can comfortably afford so that Freer Ideas can keep giving financially accessible workshops.

DIY Space for London is a member's club. Open to members and their guests only. Membership costs £2 and takes 48 hours to take effect. Join and pay at www.diyspaceforlondon.org. It is also a fully wheelchair-accessible venue with gender neutral toilets.

*We would particularly like to encourage women, queers, transpeople, people of colour, differently abled people, or anyone else who feels that their musical dreams have been hindered by forces beyond their control!
